MET – Marsulex Environmental Technologies has announced their most recent flue gas desulfurization(FGD) project award in the Peoples Republic of China. Contracted through MET’s licensee Shangda-Wit Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd, the project will utilize MET’s open spray tower, wet limestone FGD technology.
Huaneng Linyi Power Plant, located in Linyi City in Shandong Province, will be supplied with three FGD absorbers to remove 97% of the sulfur dioxide from emissions of three 140MW coal-fired boilers. This is the first project that Shangda-Wit Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd has been awarded by Huaneng Power Generation Group, one of the largest power generation groups in China. Construction is currently underway.
MET President Robert Cardell stated,
“We are pleased that the MET Wet FGD technology has been selected for this project and excited about the development of this new relationship that Shangda-Wit has formed with Huaneng Power. This award further demonstrates MET’s commitment to assisting clients in solving their pollution control needs worldwide.”
